Background Info

Currently, all cell phone batteries rely on lithium ion technology. Due to consumer demand for faster recharge rates and longer battery life, vendors are racing to develop more efficient lithium ion power sources. Recently, a leading company designed a lithium ion battery that can absorb 80 percent of a battery's total power capacity in about one minute. While this recharge rate is far superior to current charging rates (2 to 3 percent of total capacity per minute), it still creates an inconvenience for busy cell phone users. In addition, current battery technology is not powerful enough to keep pace with the growing energy needs of today's increasingly sophisticated phones. AC Energy intends to fill this market gap, and thereby become a leader in power source technology.
